Britney Spears' appearances on How I Met Your Mother were notoriously successful mainly because she didn't bomb... Now the producers of the show are pushing for an Emmy nomination for Spears. Any publicity is good publicity. This arrangement was from the beginning a two-fer to hype the Spears and a lame, trite, predictable sitcom. More power to 'em.
